In the vibrant city of Mumbai, amidst the bustling energy of Paint India 2024 from February 21st to 24th, 2024, Chitec has a joint exhibition with Unique Specialty Chemicals (USC) at Paint India 2024. The strategic move aimed to harness the potential of India, the world's second most populated country and a formidable force in pigment and dye production.

Constructing Tomorrow: India's Paint Revolution

While over half of India's households navigate basic living conditions with minimal paint quality needs, the nation is undergoing a construction renaissance. Spearheaded by the Modi government, recent years have witnessed a surge in construction activities, reshaping India into a modern powerhouse. The demand for quality paint has skyrocketed, fueled not only by construction requirements but also by the increasing needs for passenger cars, solar panels, and exquisite furniture. This surge has, in turn, stimulated the UV additives market.

At the Paint India 2024, Chitec seized the opportunity to showcase a range of its globally renowned products. Among these workhorse offerings were Chiguard® 5530, Chiguard® 5582, Chiguard® 5400, Chiguard® 353, Chiguard® 101, and the Chiguard® WB series, tailored specifically for wood coatings and eco-friendly deco paints. The spotlight, however, was on the debut of high-end triazine products, aligning perfectly with India's ambitious green energy policy geared towards solar panel infrastructure over the next decade.

India's progress in UV curing technology was prominently highlighted during the exhibition, thanks to the strides made by leading ink companies. The presence of industry giants like Foxconn and TI in India has turned the electronic industry into a sought-after foreign investment destination. Notably, the synergy between IT hardware development, anchored on a robust software foundation, and the application of UV additives and photoinitiators has created a compelling narrative for investors.

Over the course of the three-day exhibition, Chitec, in collaboration with USC, experienced a significant influx of inquiries. Standard products like Chiguard® 5530, Chiguard® 353, and Chiguard® 5582 drew substantial attention. Notably, manufacturers involved in solar control films expressed keen interest in the recent EXP-477 triazine development and other niche products. Dental material suppliers also sought out specialty photoinitiators, indicating a diverse range of applications for Chitec's offerings.

The impact of Chitec's products was not confined to the exhibition floor. Worldwide Excel played a pivotal role in promoting Chitec products in the Sri Lankan market, resulting in international recognition and approval from coating companies. This not only underscores the global appeal of Chitec's offerings but also highlights the potential for further expansion into diverse markets. The success of the event can be attributed to the robust support from USC, marking a promising inauguration for Chitec in expanding its market presence.
