Radiation curing is the most “green” technology for the coating and printing industries.* Therefore, Chitec has devoted itself to the development of a series of photoinitiators and related chemicals for the coating and printing industries.

Our Chivacure® and R-gen® line of photoinitiators/photosensitizers encompass the full spectra from UV to visible light with prices ranging from $2 to $12,000 per kilogram. Besides the radical type of PIs, Chitec also offers several cationic photoinitiators including one patented benzene-free cationic PI, R-gen BF-1172.

Because of the new REACH regulations, in the future Chitec will only focus on novel photoinitiators and plans to introduce one every year from now on.

In addition to photoinitiators, Chitec also offers properties enhancers such as optical brighteners and light stabilizers. Recently, Chitec started to develop novel adhesion promoters and dispersants for UV/EB ink and coatings. In the long run, Chitec hopes to be a total solution provider for our customers.
